Cheapest Price

The cheapest I've found the Nexus 7 is $148 from Groupon for the 16GB. Do I need more space than that? I have been contemplating getting the LTE version but don't see a reason for that.

Anyone have any suggestions? Get the 16GB Wi-Fi?

Hold Off for the 32GB Wi-Fi or get the LTE version?

Thanks

I'm biased, but I'd have to say get the LTE. I find it indispensable when I'm out of the house and need to look something up, whether it's getting directions with Google Maps/Nav, searching for something on the web, getting email, etc. Sure, I could just tether to my phone if needed, but not everyone has that ability without modding their phone, and having a direct internet connection is faster and easier.

You can buy a $10 SIM card from T-Mobile and get 200MB LTE free every month, which I find more than sufficient for email, nav, searching, etc. In the rare case that I need more data than that, buying data à la carte is reasonable.

The space you need is subjective. I've never filled the LTE's 32GB, but I would have on several occasions with the 16.

No problemo. Just another point on my scenario though, I take my tablet just about everywhere. If you don't plan on using it much outside the house, you might not find the LTE as useful as I do.

Either way, I'd definitely suggest the 32GB if you have the option.

yeah I'm with T-Mobile now here in Massachusetts so coverage for the most part seem to be okay. I'll check out eBay later today.

Next dumb question....If I want the added piece of mind of LTE I have to buy the LTE version right? I can't buy the Wi-Fi only version and try and put a Sim card into that eh? Trying to save cash here.

Negative; the WiFi tablet does not have a cellular radio nor a SIM slot.

If you think you may have a need for LTE, you'll need the LTE tablet.

So Bestbuy lists the Nexus 7 32 Gig with Wi-Fi and LTE but down the bottom is lists only Verizon Wireless and ATT as providers. Can I not use it on T-Mobile?

Should work fine on T-Mobile. I don't think there were different versions for different carriers.

I bought mine at Best Buy last year, and took it right to T-Mo for activation.
