Dialup was faster than the EBC is lately.
Yeah it's still flaky, sometimes it loads ok and sometimes (most) it doesn't.

Did the Amazon meltdown take down the forum for the past two days, or was it just my connection?
No just a coincidence, the site certificate expired on Monday and it appears to have just been renewed today.

I'm an addict and I'll readily admit it. We've all invested years in building the relationships and brotherhood we all enjoy here. It will break my heart if it comes to an end.

I absolutely agree and wondered about that possibility. Perhaps we need to voluntarily share our real life contact info "just in case" so we can continue our shenanigans and friendships. I have a life but this group here I value highly and "see" more often than my friends IRL!

What we really need is an alternative site that we could gather if necessary. I don't know what Rob has up his sleeve. I'm certain the site isn't paying it's way. He obviously lacks great interest in the place or he would be a regular or at least somewhat active. I do think he has a care about the site and he had hopes of it rising again to some level of popularity with the name change etc. I'm glad we still have the site. For how long is the big question.

Agree! I'm not suggesting mutiny in any way shape or form. I respect Rob, his contribution and support, plus all of you who keep the place running. But eventually Rob may tire of feeding the kitty, so it would be nice to have a safe place to land if and when that occurs. I'm not tech savvy enough to suggest anything though.
