Help Checking data usage, phone usage, etc...

How do you check data usage on this phone?
I can't find it on this phone...anyone help?

Either I am just not looking in the right place or this phone just does not have it...which I find bizarre as it is pretty standard.

I am hoping I am just pulling a noob here but this is really strange.

How and where do I enter that code?

Just bought my first Android phone, HTC Desire HD, and I'm appaled that battery is only lasting 6 hours!

As a newbie I need to quickly find out why this is so I can close down unwanted activity! (also as I only have 1GB / mnth I'm eating that up too!)

I have already removed Good so no more work emails.

I have closed gmail (now no contacts!)

I need to close down Yahoo mail.

I just want a phone where the battery lasts at least 24 hours - and I can browse the internet without going over the 1GB.

Help please.

there is not data counter on phone . but you can download the " Netcounter" from the android market which is a simple network traffic counter for EDGE/3G and Wi-Fi. It shows your data usage.you can set the counters (monthly, last 7 days, today, etc) you need.
