Help Checking for Update and ROM version

Hello all,

I've read that there is a 2.3.6 update for the AT&T Skyrocket. I don't have this latest update and still have Android version 2.3.5. I also hate the check for update on this phone. Unlike other phones I've had like HTC and on other carriers, I can check for updates anytime I want. Here, I can only check once and it will tell me to check again in 24hrs. WTF???

I keep running it every day but it does not find the OTA update.

My phone is rooted...

you can only check once every 24 hours but if you change your phone clock ahead 24h, you can check again, so thats a workaround. But i wouldn't update to the latest 236 because there are reports of wifi drain bug but not everyone gets it so you may want to hold off on that until AT&T works out the kinks.

another thing to keep in mind is that the OTA should work even though you're rooted but its not guaranteed to work. If you have a custom rom, it will definitely not work.

The 2.3.6 update was pulled due to the problems. No longer available. Consider yourself lucky.
