Help "Checking navigation availability"

Hey does anyone else have this problem? I open up the navigation app and get this message "checking navigation availability." It won't go to another other screen and keeps on trying to find signal or something. Same symptoms as my fascinate. I select/deselected all 3 gps settings. nothing is working. Any help would be appreciated.
 
Mine was like that for the first time, but stopped after the first occurrence. I would recommend downloading 'gps status' from android market; I used it for my fascinate and it fixed the problem immediately
