I think as long as my phone is ticking along with the perfomance and reliability it has right now with NEAT LPG then Im done with flashing ROMS. A year left on my contract. I look forward to the next gen.

Leo announced S2 checkrom ICS is finished, not as in complete, but as in terminated, something they should have said months ago. probably just as well, will save some poor sod somewhere from a bricked S2.

Hey guys,So I am currently on gingerbread version of Checkrom. How do I go from that to V7? is it just the normal way from CWM?. Or do I have to first upgrade to ICS root and then get it?.:confused: BAsically just askign how i can move to any ICS ROM?

Caught hawker in a sarcastic mood ;) V7 is based on an unstable firmware that has caused unexpected bricking. A quick search on here or xda will tell you more.

Oh :P My bad.. Anyway can anyone answer the next part ?. How do I go to an ICS custom rom from a gingerbread rooted custom rom?. To I have to first go to stock ICS. then root then go onto the rom?

I just flashed an ICS ROM direct over my GB ROM and had no issues whatsoever.
However, there have been a number of people that also did this, but had problems.

It seems the safest way is to flash an official stock ICS ROM and cf-root (and you may also want to flash the old bootloader to allow USB jigs to work) all via Odin first, and then flash your ROM of choice via CWM. You can do all the Odin flashes consecutively if you untick the Auto-reboot option, and retick it on your final flash to then install your ROM via CWM.

Thank you sir :D

But USB Jigs?. Isnt that only if your phone is still under warranty?. If its important even if youre warranty is up,then ill read up about this old bootloader.
 
USB Jigs reset the insecure kernel counter and eliminates the yellow triangle on the boot screen after you have rooted.

You can also buy chainfire's Triangle Away to remove it (ICS only) but I prefer to use my jig as its simple and quick.
 
Cant seem to find one mate. :( . I looked at this checkfus downloader. Downloaded and official firmware. But how do i know if its ICS
