Cherished Childhood Item

When you were a small, you might have a toy, a blanket or anything that means a lot to you and you're very attached to. You probably still have yours.

What's yours? Take a pic if you want

Before I was born, my Lola (Grandmother) made me a small pillow for when I was born. They named it "Yapus", for the Ilokano word (my mom and grandma's native language) for "hug". Everynight till today I still slept with and it's also sorta my security item. Whenever I watch scary movies (even games) alone, I hug my Yapus to make me feel better. I have a habit of taking it with me when I'm in the house.

One time I have insomnia for 3 days because I left my Yapus at home. My girlfriend once got mad me, because apparently she's jealous that I love my pillow more that her. -.-

Here's a picture of my Yapus. I made it a new cover from extra fabric on my school uniform skirt ;D

I have to say that your situation is adorable. I have a similar situation with a hampster beanie baby of mine that I bought in Sacramento when I was in 6th grade. I've had it with me ever since and I have it in my bedroom. It's been through difficult times with me and was a source of comfort when I was alone. My bf thinks it's cute so I'm thankful for that. I used to not be able to go to sleep without knowing where he was for a couple of years. I'm not sure why. I would literally spend like 30 minutes searching for him and become really anxious if I couldn't find him. Oh what childhood toys do to a human. lol

It's adorable, n'est-ce pas? :)

His name is Pelet btw.

one of my favorite items is my old gameboy pocket (clear of course) that I bought when I was younger. It was the first thing I Had ever bought with money I earned by myself. I wanted it when they came out so I took my 6 year old self at the time, and asked all my neighbors if there was anything I could help them with. after about a month of this I had saved up enough money to buy my gameboy. 15 years later and it still works and is near perfect ocndition

My childhood item is a rock that i found. I carry it in my pocket everyday As you can see by how smooth it is now. The lines go right through the rock.

I had an imaginary friend I was quite fond of. I suppose I'll have to post an imaginary picture now.

I was given stocks, bonds, and golf clubs when I was a kid. Unfortunately, I never played with toys. We had staffers to play with each toy and provide written reports at month's end. I think they are still stored somewhere in the Arboretum wing of the place in the Hamptons above the 40 car garage. Or the hanger, perhaps.

I still remember when James broke his leg riding my skateboard. We had to let him go because his monthly reports were always late or blood splattered.

Seriously, I still have my Ken dolls but they want to get married, so back in the walk-in they go until times change.
