Root Chevyno1 7-slot Froyo kernels Compatible?

Hello all,
I just recently rooted and installed the stock rooted 2.1 ROM along with Chevyno1 LV 5-slot 1GHz kernel and everything appears to be working ok. That being said, I do see his ULV 7-slot kernels but it appears they are Froyo specific. Anyone know if they are compatible with the 2.1 rom? If it is compatible, is there any benefit to changing out and going with the 7-slot ULV kernel over what I already have?

Froyo Kernels are only for Froyo ROMs. They will not work on 2.1 ROMs.

In regards to your second question...kernels are very phone specific. They only way you'd ever find out for sure if one kernel had advantages over another is to try it. If you read through this forum you'll run across threads where someone says how great a certain kernel is for his/her phone and the next post mentions how horrible his phone is with that same kernel.

Try some other kernels our for yourself and see what works best.
