We still keep them. We aren't ever going to eat them, we named them and pet them. We would care for her
 
Our oldest are 5, their birthday is in August. Late August
 
Chickens have a defined place in the world. Lots of sayings associated with their relationship with humans. "Rule the roost", "playing chicken", "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" Just a few. Anyone have more examples?
 
"dumb cluck", "Hen-pecked", "fox in the hen house" you're right, there are quite a few chicken-related sayings.
 
Why can't I edit the title of this thread

I'm trying to change the name to; 'Freaking don't talk about eating chickens' 😡
 
Ya don't need to, I just get annoyed about people talking about eating our feathery helpless friends. Or any animal.

But mostly chickens 🐔

This one looks a lot like one of ours, (I would say her name, but it's extremely weird because I named them when I was in 4th grade)

And yes I can tell the difference, I really can't understand how other people can't. To me they all look completely unique.
