There are a few options, these are the ones that I currently have installed:
1)
Google Pinyin IME in the market.
Download and install it.
Go to settings > language & keyboard > tick the google pinyin checkbox change your settings as necessary.
When you want to type something:
tap and hold in the text input box > input method > google pinyin
2) go to settings > language & keyboard > touch input > international keyboard
select the relevant chinese from the bottom of the list. I use the bottom two!
You can then use this keyboard by long pressing in a text box > input method > touch input
3)I'm using the Swype beta, which also has chinese text input!
Install the beta > change your input method to Swype > (long?) press the "i" button in the bottom left corner > options > language > chinese
Hope one of these methods proves useful for you.
I don't know if it's normal (I'm only just learning to write Chinese) but Na and Dian use the same keystroke - confused me at first!
