Help Choosing contact picture: how?

Hi,

sorry if the question has already been asked...

I'm new at the G2/TouchWiz interface, coming from years of HTC Sense.

I have a lot of contacts merged: the same person may have data coming from FB, Gmail, Google+, etc.
Sometimes they have different pictures on different accounts.
How do I choose which one to display on the phone?!

In the Edit screen of contacts, when I press and hold on the picture, I can only get three options: Album, Take Photo and Remove Icon.
What I need is some sort of "use FB avatar", or a list of asscoiated icons, for example.

In HTC' Sense it was very easy to do that.

Any help?

Good Question ! I cant figure it out either. But maybe dependent on which accounts gets merged into which. The account into which others are merging should logically be the top account therefore show a picture of that.

If your accounts are merged, try un-merging them, then merge the accounts into the account you want your picture to show.

I haven't tried this but I would do that if I wanted to do it like you do.

I've found with mine that if you have no locally selected picture then the FB avatar pic is downloaded and displayed - a few of my contacts had pics saved on them from the phone and when I removed the pic from the contact the FB picture appeared. I too came from Sense on the Desire and thought this was gonna be a pain.
 
yeah, the google image shows by default, there doesnt seem to be anyway to set it. if they dont have a google account, the facebook one shows.. but if they do, the google one is the one ur gonna have to stick with. the SGS2 is my first android so i have nothing to compare it with, but everyone i know says Sense is better!

Count me in. ;)

I've had a HTC Desire for more than a year and the Sense UI is far more polished, user friendly, usable and "complete" than TouchWiz.

On the other side, the hardware of the S2 is unbeatable at the moment...

It's a tough call.
