Help Choppy Bluetooth Audio when talking

cjobes

I had an Android one and would talk on my Bluetooth in my Honda C-RV. The audio sounded perfect with no issues what-so-ever. Now I have switched to the Galaxy Nexus and the audio when talking on the phone just plain sucks.

When a person talks the voice is choppy and cuts the volume up and down. Makes it very difficult to carry on a decent conversation. Music playback for bluetooth is great, but phone is practically useless for anything that requires close attention.

The day after I got the phone the new version of OS came out, so I don't have anything to compare it to in regards to the OS.

Anyone know if this can be fixed?

Thanks,
Buck

Its a known bug that some people are having. It most likely isn't hardware as it didn't happen before the 4.0.4 update. Since it appears to be a radio issue, it has to be fixed by Samsung so really there isn't much we can do until then. I've heard downgrading the radios fixes the issue, but then you get some of the issues that were in the 4.0.2 radios like very poor 4G handoff issues which caused issues of their own.

Hopefully this will be fixed in the official Jelly Bean update.

See this thread for future reference: http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...le-bluetooth-sound-quality-since-4-0-4-a.html

Oddly enough though, I haven't noticed it on my Kenwood radio.
