Root Chosing Sense ROM

I checked some advanced sense ROMs (sense 3 and 3.5) 2/3month earlier. But none was stable (all were very slow in fact). After a long time, I believe there already have come some good sense ROM. So, could you (sense ROM user) please share your ROM with pros and cons?

It will help sense lover to get good ROM.

If you want a very stable Sense ROM, may I suggest Teppic74's Gingerbread ROM? Nothing too flash but stable as anything, supports apps2SD+ and I had no issues what-so-ever.
If you want something a bit more show off-y, I couldn't say as soon as I tried an AOSP Rom, I wasn't going to go back!:p

Probably one of the most popular/ stable on XDA is Runnymede AIO. It is what I've got on mine. You get all the Sense 3.5 features - pull ring to unlock, latest widgets, Beats and so on - but the trade off is in battery life. The higher the Sense version, the bigger the battery drain.

You probably need to balance what is important to you - latest version of Sense or battery life.

I have tried many sense roms, but always end up going back to the rom in my signature. It's a sense 2.1+3.0 hybrid rom

It's fast, very stable and has good battery life(I get 48hrs+ with normal usage).

I do use Autokiller and have it set on 150/160/170.

Looks good.. should I use this ROM should I use if I'm rooted with unrevoked and using a2sd?

A2SD+ Bravo: 7b1bc2323b7348aa8a61ee3c4cd94abe

You can certainly use that rom. Just make sure your A2SD+/EXT partition is at least 1024MB.

Full instructions are on the XDA page.

Thanks.. I've read the instructions and it's not clear what the differences between the verisons is.

I'm running HBoot with Clockworkmod recovery and A2SD+ but I'm not sure what the difference are..

  • RCMix S v2.0 Bravo and CM7, FULL WIPE NEEDED!
    MD5:
    - A2SD+ Bravo: 7b1bc2323b7348aa8a61ee3c4cd94abe
    - A2SD CM7: 1f130a17f1b81f7e1e5e775faba44e16
Please help.. I'd live to give this one a try. I've tried two ROMS now and want more.. more.. more!

Thanks.. I was thinking CM7 referred to Clockworkmod. I realise now it relates to Cyanogen Mod.. I think it's the boot table?

CM7R2 is an Alpharev Hboot (with partition table) designed to fit the CM7 ROM in it without wasting too much space.

CM are now responsible for all the Bravo versions of CWM recovery.

I don't think any ROMs stipulate that they can only be flashed by certain recoveries. There may be recommendations though.

Some older ROMs may not flash with the latest CWM's as the older ROMs may have older scripts, where CWM dropped support for that script. You shouldnt have to think about this though.
