Help City ID: App or Virus???

I have had the Droid X for about a month now and I am getting pretty tired of City ID's pop-up asking me to subscribe. Every time it pops up, it says there is a 15 day free trial...the problem is that every few days it tells me I have 15 days left.

I have contacted Verizon twice for this issue. Currently, waiting to hear back from them after they talk to the app writer.

I have tried wiping City ID's data...still pops up.

Anyone have any suggestions that don't include rooting?

It's not a virus...The app is simply a trial so it will remind you to sign up for the paid version...Best thing to do is root and then remove/rename/freeze. I hope this helps.

It should not require root to stop this pop up...not ready to root and void my warranty quite yet. There must be a way...

rooting does not void warrenty, unless the root is teh cause of a problom you are having

I think you are right...I think there is an option to stop the pop-ups but I didn't want city id at all so I froze mine with titanium backup...
