Has anyone used a class 10 micro SDHC memory card in their charge yet? I've got one of the class 2 samsung cards in there and it's not that fast, hoping to upgrade to a class 4 or maybe a 10 since a few of the brands like Adata and Transcend are basically the same price as the sandisk class 4.

Make sure if you are getting a class 10 card that its a v3 card and not a v2 card, I have heard that the v2's have a problem with this phone

I heard on another forum that the Lexar 32GB class 10 works great on the Charge and is the fastest. Most cheaper, no-name brands will not be very fast even though they are labeled class 10.

For programs on the SD card sequential read speeds are not as important as random read speeds and access times. Typically while higher classes have higher sequential read speeds they are worse than lower classes at random access. That said there are better and worse cards so maybe your class 2 is slow in all operations, but don't assume a higher class will mean your phone will run faster because it may actually be slower. A google search for sd card benchmarks should turn up what you need.

Anyone try the PNY 32GB card? It seems the cheapest right now.

I picked this one up last week. Seems to be working just fine. I've been pleased with it so far. Here's what the SDTools tests have looked like.

Thanks,
I get 9MB Write and 18MB Read on my Samsung Class 2 card. What should the cards be getting using this app?
I was hoping for a big difference, my phone seems to lag in a few apps and takes around 8 minutes to restart.

Should I go with a PNY (read 20 write 10) or ADATA (read 20 write 17) both 32 g and class 10?

I went with the ADATA Micro sd because it is rated faster.....I hope that was a good decision.

I upgraded from a Samsung Class 2 to a Sandisk Class 4 and the difference is incredible. My phone has so much less lag now! I dreaded having to reboot my phone, I would just come back 5 minutes later because it took forever to reboot. Now it takes maybe a minute to boot up. Scanning the SD card after disconnecting it from USB used to take a while and now it's easily 1/3 or less of the time. Games boot quicker and when I exit games it used to take a good minute or 3 to redraw the homescreens, now it's nearly instant. You need a class 4 card or better in this phone.

I went from a 32g SanDisk class 4 micro sd to the adata 32g class 10 and there was a noticeable difference in speed, videos, pics, and just about every other function.

SD Tools:

class 10=
write speed=14.1 MB/s
reading speed=21.3 MB/s

class 4=
write speed=5.0 MB/s
reading speed=10.3 MB/s
