Class Action Suit for 2.0

I would only hold out for third generation Androids because they are supposed to be sporting Tegra chipsets, which is exciting to me.

I hear ya on the Galaxy S specs, though...I just think we'd be walking into the same trap.

EDIT: I went over to the Galaxy S page to leave them a warning, when I saw Behold_This's post, and I was wondering what you guys thought:

"[The Galaxy S is] rumored for a late july, early august release. it's also rumored that touchwiz 3.0 updates will be released to most touchwiz phones currently on twiz 2.0. this includes the behold 2 which, it is rumored, will be receiving the update along with android 2.1 (fyi not all twiz phones run android) the downside is that that will be the behold's last update as the only twiz phone to get froyo (android 2.2) will be the galaxy s...eventually since the galaxy s will ship with 2.1."

Isn't Froyo supposed to go to all phones and basically fix fragmentation? but anyways at least 2.1 will come if you are right. I only believe all of what you said because I am an optimistic kinda guy.

I don't mean to offer contradicting evidence--or speculation, rather--but I thought I'd just ask. The information regarding the termination of the Behold 2/Galaxy's development is pretty reliable, as it comes from a pretty high-ranking Sammy source. I don't know, though. This other info doesn't seem to not make sense, so...thoughts?

Well to look at it from a selling point of view... I would say it would be wiser to stop updates for BH2 so that they can jump ship onto galaxy S for Twiz 3.0 and android 2.1 and any future android OS's.

The BH2 has already passed the 6 month life cycle of a phone and updating is costly. Are they making enough on the phone to upgrade it? do they still want it to sell?

The logical answer to me is that its done with but all we have are he said she said situations of which is unreliable.

Well, due to my financial situation I'm at least stuck with the BH2 until Q4 of this year anyways...so I might as well begrudge them for their history but hope for a better update in the future--even though I don't think it will come; I think BH_Man's info will prove to be true.

This really sucks, and I don't want to use my upgrade because i got the even more plus plan for only 60 dollars a month and these new phones are going to bump me up to 80 dollars a month. Guess I have to though.

Roms and ports are done by dev communities. Almost any thing can be ported. I meant that MS won't be upgrading the hd2 because it doesn't meet the prerequisite 3 hardware buttons that all winmo 7 phones will have.

I just got the HD2, and other then the apps (which can't even close to compete with android) It's an awesome phone.

Sweet!!, I Get to go Play with the MyTouch Slide At 6pm Tonight & I'm Put on the Waiting List for it... Hands on, Can't Wait :)

Ok I would actually like to revise this lol. It's an awesome looking phone. I messed with it for around 3 hours and ended up hating it. There are basically no apps on this phone! The mms wouldn't even work for me. The web browsing was fast but all the images were choppy. I couldn't find pandora on it. The facebook app just wasn't good, and I had to do a factory reset off the back because it wouldn't go off then lock screen sometimes.

I sadly took it back after 5 hours and got my refund (and a couple of WTF looks).

I guess I will wait for the mytouch slide or nexus one. Maybe might even switch to sprint for the evo 4g.

The Slide is Awesome...

Espresso Rom. Still was Fast, even with all the Widgets on 7 screen..
The Keyboard was very Nice, Nice Rubbery button, not Hard!!!

Just overall a very very Nice Phone :D :D
I pre-ordered mine already :D
Thats how much I liked it.. http://twitpic.com/1p8fne

How bulky is the phone? Is it just as bulky as the G1 or skinnier? I can tell it's not skinnier then the Behold 2 but you can't expect that since it has a keyboard. I think I'm just going to wait a little bit because other then the Nexus One and the Incredible I see nothing that's a phone that I like. I really can't wait for the Dell Tablet. If Dells tablet has the same speed as the Nexus one I would jump all over it. I would even get a bluetooth device for it that is how desperate I am for such a device.

Then Honestly, Based on that Post..... Your Not going to like anything othere than the 2 you Posted about.... I went in with an open mind due to it having a 600MHz Proc. But, to my Surprise the Phone was Running Very Smooth with the 7225 CPU..

Honestly it's Not to Big, Just a Bit wider than the Cliq, but I'd say is the same thickness of the Cliq though..

Right now, other than the Nexus & Incredible, it the only other Phone that Has 512 Ram / 512 Rom ....

If it runs as smooth as you say it does I would have to look into it. My only thing is that the price to performance ratio pushes more towards the Nexus and Incredible. Only cause they are about $50 more then these lower end devices but will last a lot longer due to better performance. I have the G1 and the Behold 2 and I really don't want to jump to another low spec phone since I've had 2 phones in 12 months and the Slide might just be another 6 month phone.

Anyway I would also like a bigger higher res screen. even if it's 3.8in or something. Keeping the same small screen size with these two phones is a pain.

Glass or Plastic on the touchscreen? That's one thing that impressed me on the BH2 over the Original My Touch.

Samsung needs a class action lawsuit for its failings to provide what it said it was going to for purchasers of the phone.

Ah, the voice of REASON!!!

Samsux should be made to give us the state of the art Android phone that we PAID for and were promised but never received.

As to buying another Samsux cell phone? Perhaps...when Hell Freezes over! What Samsux can DO is give me what I was promised...and replace this ramshackle piece of crap in it's pretty casing. Now that is an arrangement that I'll go for. But only a fool would purchase another phone from them KNOWING what kind of service and lack of customer care you will get. And don't forget, they jam it with proprietary jangled garbage so that you cannot even upgrade the sucker on your own via a root job. Oh yes, those of us who purchased the Behold 2 in good faith were screwed royally.

I wouldn't care if the Galaxy was dipped in gold and had platinum buttons on a 5G line, I wouldn't trust anything that they put out to last past the unboxing.

This is exactly why samsung won't be any consideration for me for phone purchases anymore.

Tapatalk. Samsung Moment. Yep.

Well, after talking to a T-Mobile rep for the last hour, it stands that the will not replace a Behold II with another phone because to the best of their knowledge Samsung hasn't said that they will stop creating updates. I'm sure they have but it hasn't reached the CS reps in India yet. I purchased this phone because the rep in the store told me it would be receiving 2.1. It is unfortunate T-Mobile doesn't stand by what their reps say or push Samsung to create the update. Not sure how they expect to compete with the other carriers which have several 2.1 phones and they have none.
