Class Action Suit for 2.0

That seals the deal for me too then, how disappointing about the BH2!

Looked on TMO site and they have the slide listed, but not available yet.
BH_Man, I just called TMO customer care to pre-order a slide but they say that it isn't available yet until June.

The rep I talked to understood my concerns about the BH2, I could sense from her that she/they have had other calls about this phone.

BH_Man, I have to say I am very impressed with the work you have done with the BH2 and your dedication to this community is impressive! If the slide is where you are going, I am following!! (Plus we will get all the awesome mods from the best first!) :)
 
The Reps wont do anything for you... You will have to walk into a TMO store and talk to one of there Android Reps ( & Make Friends ) with Knowledge of android & all the Hardware.. From there either show off the BH2 with a Custom Rom & Talk about Rooting while looking around for the Manager so they don't get introuble.. Next you will need to tell them how Crappy the BH2 is & it's not getting the 2.1 release like you was Promised... Do not at any time Make it out to be TMO fault & place full blame on Samsung ( TMO Love it when you DO )

From there ask if any of the store rep has the Slide, Play with it... Get to know it & Let them Know this is your Next Phone & you want on the Waiting List for it when it Comes Out... That the Best Advice I can Give you... I have a few Friends at my TMO store is only Reason I know Mine will be there on day of Release... They want to get it into a Dev.'s hands as well :)

I would say read and you will find out that R12 is having issues right now and BH will try to fix this weekend and post on Monday or Tuesday.....
 
Do you think the Slide will be better than a Nexus One? I'm trying to push them to let me send the B2 back and pay the difference for one of them without resigning. I just got the phone in March and its already going to be obsolete? Just ridiculous.
 
I bailed on Samsung and Tmobile, Its really sad that a company like Samsux would have Tmoile lie to its customers, I know its not Tmobiles fault but this was a contract breaker for me, I have gone back to Sprint, they have just improved the signal quality in my area. I went with a free Palm Pixi, and when the Evo comes out I can get that at a discounted price since it will be released in my first 30 days. They are also going to give me $68.00 for my behold 2 as a trade.

But then why switch to a network that also carries Samsung devices? Since you know it's not the carriers fault what really changed?

Well the deal is that after this lack of support from Samsux, and the fact that Tmobile will not make them fix this issue as I spoke with a rep last night who told me I would be stuck with the Behold 2 for another year unless I wanted to pay full price for another handset, which with a young child is kind of difficult as I am sure BHMan knows. But the deal I got from Sprint was just to good, and I wont be buying any Samsux products from Sprint either. I like the EVO more than any other phone I have seen on Tmobiles lineup, but that doesnt mean that HTC wont make a killer phone for Tmobile, but the fact that the rep told me basically tough shit, your stuck made my wife go through the roof, so we switched back to Sprint and they overnighted my new phones. But I just think that this was the best solution for me.

Yeah, kinda what I thought. This blows. I have only had this phone a little over a month and have not even begun to pay for it yet. I would love to install one of the ROMS (most likely R11), but so far all I have done is root the phone and get rid of some useless apps that were on it. I am getting double notifications with Handcent and know that I could get rid of them with the ROM, but I am pretty much chickens**t. I am paranoid that I will brick my phone and I will be left with a paperweight. :(
 
well it might be better suited as a paperweight, lol. But dont be afraid, the BHMan roms are really worth the mild risk, just follow the instructions and it will be ok

Lol! You are right! I plan to try it this weekend. Gotta let my battery drain first, though and give it a recharge. What's the worst that can happen?? Yeah right! I am not going to even think about that. From what I hear R11 is the cleanest, so I will probably try it.
 
What hurts so bad is that the BH2 has so much promise (scratch that ... had). The physical structure is superb, it feels good in the hand. The screen is a joy to look at. When I compare it to my Mytouch I almost wish I could gut the behold and replace the insides with the mytouch. The phone would be absolutely perfect then. No quirks, no bugs, true customization and a sleek device for all to envy.

Samsung hit a homerun in so many areas of this phone yet failed woefully in so many others.
 
We have updated that review due to the fact that our sources at Samsung and Tmobile will no longer even talk to us about the 2.1 update after saying for months it was approved and in the works. The only way we will get it will be with a Galaxy ported rom. I agree, this phone had much potintial and I would be even more upset if it had not been for BH_MAN 1.6 rom. We can get most of the Android thrill but not all :(
 
so i just got an email.. that basically confirms what bh had already confirmed for most... i basically emailed them asking about the future of the bh2 and how there are lots of people in the android community that will cut all ties with samsung if they do not update to 2.x... and here is what they said

Thank you for your inquiry. The SGH-T939 does not qualify for an operating system upgrade to Android 2.X.

Ok, any particular address I can send MY irate email to?

Oh, and for the record, my continued interest in Samsung's products is mainly focused on emphatically telling my friends, acquaintances, enemies, and random strangers NOT to buy Samsung products. And quietly hoping my bh2 breaks sometime after mid-june, so I can get something that IS supported.
 
i went to there website and contacted them that way... alittle update... i talked to tmobile and tried to see what they could do for me.. such as a free and or trade + cash upgrade to the mytouch slide when it comes out.. no go.. HOWEVER the best part was when i told the lady how samsung said that they werent going to update it.. this is how it went (paraphrased)

Me: I have information that samsung isnt going to update the behold 2 further then 1.5

Rep: Where did you get this information from?

me: i have a source who has a source.. so i emailed samsung and they said the same thing

Rep: what is your sources name and where did he get it?

Me: I cant tell you that

Rep: sir that information wasnt supposed to be leaked, i need his name.

Me: Nope

Sorry.. i thought it was funny at the time

Ooo so T-Mobile KNEW that it wasn't going to happen and were intentionally telling people that it was before... I smell a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Translation: Officially Mike, Samsux doesn't give a ratz azz...we're screwed. The hilarious thing is that they expect our "continued interest"!!! Can you believe the unmitigated GALL???!!!
Dear Samsux, I was born in the morning...just not *this* morning. We're simply supposed to take our $230 dollar pretty paperweights and shut up about it. NOT.

How about this for a reality check ad:
