Clean notification tray apps with one click without root?

Hi,

Earlier I had a rooted Samsung S4 but I've now changed to an LG G3 that is not rooted at the moment. I'm happy with my non rooted phone except for one thing, earlier when I used the "Clean Master" app it cleared the notification area apps also, it doesn't do that now and I find that quite annoying. I've been using a music app as well as a Youtube alternative and they remain in the notification area even though I close them down with Clean Master's memory boost function.

Is it possible to make it work again without rooting the phone? Are there any other apps I should use? Or is the only solution to root the phone?

Regards,

I would really stay away from apps that "Boost Memory" The more and App is turned on and off the more Android makes room for it. This is really an unwanted affect for most users but Android thinks that it's an important app since it gets so much attention.

In my Experience cache cleaners are not as effective as most think they are. Clearing Cache is not going to recreate your phone into a new device. It will only clear a little space and give you no more speed. The read and write functions of your OS are already set clearing something that has nothing to do with this will not change its value.

Now as far as apps staying in the notification area I have yet to have this issue but try looking through that apps settings there may be something in there that keeps it on that you need to shut off.

I pride myself on keeping my mouth shut and learning from people that know more than me, lol, and one thing I've learned on this forum that MOST people are against the memory boost apps, but I must say that I have found one that I like because it has an "running apps" tab that lets you see everything that is consuming memory at the moment and gives you the option to shut them down. You'd be surprised at the CRAP that starts running on its own as soon as you fire up something!! For example, I have noticed that messaging apps like Yahoo or Kik, will start up on their own, and keyboards that I have installed but not using at the moment also start to run in the background!

Its not that we are so much against them its just we understand how android manages memory. As I stated the more an app is open and closed the more Android will go out of its way to make a place for it in memory. Again android thinks its important. Most messenger apps will start on load as they do your computer because everyone thinks you want their garbage loading with the system so you can be notified asap. as far as stuff like keyboards I only use one. Its unfortunate that most apps have the want to start when you load an os instead of starting when you tap/click, or type the command. It is that behavior that has caused so much issues with Windows. Now they bring it to android.

Believe it or not, lol, that is what I was trying to say that I had learned here! And I must admit that I am a keyboard "junkie" I like some of the features in one, the skins in another, ect, ect. What I don't understand is why if I have one set as my input keyboard the other one's are running in the background anyways!

If you regularly switch back and forth, that's why multiple keyboards are loaded in memory. If there's an app running that you truly NEVER use, remove or disable it if possible. If you rarely use something but it always appears to be in memory, it's because Android knows how much you use it, and has determined that loading it in memory in advance of you using it is an optimal use of its resources.
