Anybody got any techniques on how to clean up useless data on your triumph? I mean like data on SD card, Internal Storage, RAM and any other spot? I just wanna clean my up a little bit and see if I get better performance out of my phone. Just wondering how people recommend I do this or if anybody knows of any hidded spots that collect useless data/cache?

Not a performance boost per se, but if you're on stock ROM and rooted you can free up a lot of internal space by going to the internal \data directory and deleting all files beginning with alog and pmlog. You'd be amazed at the space that can recovered. Repeat every week or so to keep them in check.

also, if your on a custom rom, it may seem so simple, but restart the phone once per day, the phone seems to absolutely love like 1 reboot a day, and since custom roms have better space management, it should clear alot of stuff out

i also every now and again like to go to my applications and view them all and i scroll threw very slow and find ones i forgot i installed and ones i dont use and get them outta there

also while in the applications, anything that doesnt involve a widget, launcher, email or something in the same, can normally be moved to the sd card which saves so much phone space

Also if you use apps like Facebook, you can normally open the app and set it to Never Refresh/Update itself, so the app only uses space and refreshes the page when your actually using it

App2SD is a free app that helps you find and move apps to your SD card. This app only selects apps that CAN be moved to the SD card and still function. It also shows an alert in the status bar if you install an app that can be moved to your SD card.

This app is great for rooted phones because it is real easy to move an app that should not be moved causing it to not work.

Since rooting my cellphone along with root and putting Cyanogen Mod 7 on it, theres apps like Set CPU, No-Frills CPU Control and No Bloatware that work hand in hand with CM7 to allow you to underclock, disable & delete (hopefully backing up at the same time) system apps, and change performance settings (With Cyanogen Mod 7). Turning off GPS and Wi-Fi are a good starting point for basic setups. Happy rooting!

I rooted with Gingerbreak and then deleted a huge alog file that was causing my sms messages to not come through because of a supposed system memory low error. Programs like Root Explorer and ES File Explorer allow you to go into the data portion of your root foler and remove these files. Careful what you delete though because I deleted something and now my applications can't connect to the internet using the Virgin Network. They're still able to connect using WiFi. Trying to solve that problem now.

probably a good idea to back your phone up using a program like Titanium Backup. I just got the Pro version and backed up. Will have to test it a few times before I know how well it does or doesn't work.
