Clear answers regarding AP2SD

Question regarding going back and forth with AP2SD:

I am considering it, however, if I do all the steps to enable AP2SD, if I don't like it (or if something goes wrong) can I do a complete wipe of the phone and restore a Nandroid Backup of the same ROM prior to enabling AP2SD? If so, what steps are involved in "backtracking"?

backtracking would involve removing all partitions on the SD card, then creating a single partition.. then wiping and restoring from a backup...
