Help Clear Cache Issue

In the past I have turned off my phone and turned it back on while holding down the home key. when the triangle ! came up I would hit the "search" key and scroll up and down with the volume buttons and select with camera button.

Now I get to the triangle ! screen and I cannot get past it without pulling my battery.

Not rooted.

Just want to clear cache.

This changed slightly with GB, you need to hit both volume buttons once you see the "!". The Power button is now enter also.

just hit the camera button for reboot phone....

is the phone doing it every single time you turn it off and back on?

im on GB... obviously and i still do the same thing as i did in froyo, i hit the search key and it goes straight in. but hey maybe the both vol buttons is another way

It doesn't work when I hit the search button either.

It happens to all of us...and it's Friday.

Hmm...the GB that is with CM7 has the recovery that works with the search button (maybe because it uses the kernel that was with Froyo?). The official GB needs to use the volume buttons though.

Thanks. I figured it must be something like that and even dared to try different combinations of buttons. I just assumed the up and down volume buttons were positioned like a teeter totter and couldn't both be pressed down together.
