Hello all,

Need help with my HTC desire.

I am low on memory (internal). Whenever I add a contact to the SD card - it also uses inetrnal memory.
I added GPS navigator to my SD card - and it also uss internal memory.

In ordre to add some free space - I read that I can delete chache. Ho wdo I know what to delete? Can I delete all chache? does it fill back again?

Thanks for help.
The Operating system is Froyo 2.2.

Hi welcome to the forums!

You can clear app cache by going to settings>applications>manageapplications then click on the desired app. If there's cache to clear, the button to clear cache should be available.

Most common apps that can have cache cleared are browser and market. You can sort by the size of the app to make it easier to find possible apps that may have available cache to clear.

With Quick App Manager you'll get a good overview at the apps with it caches.

Clearing cache is a fairly ineffective approach. As you use your apps they will use cache. You need to remove/move apps and clean up your data. Data is frequently overlooked for some reason. Your data does use internal storage as well.

Clearing cache still frees internal storage space, so it should be done regularly. I use 1Tap Cache Cleaner to automatically clean the cache at a selected interval (for example once a day). This way I don't have to do anything myself.

Clearing app data also frees internal storage space, but this should be done selectively, because this sets the app into their default state. For example, if you clean the browser data, then you will lose all your favorites. As long as this is understood, clearing app data is also a way to go.
