Help Clearing recent contacts in messaging

NoeLiMiTz

Newbie
First of all i've searched everywhere but nothing came up. Well, after the 2.2 Froyo update i can't seem to delete the recent contacts list on the messaging list. I tried everything rebooted, cleared all the necessary cache etc. and I don't want to factory reset the fone everytime just to delete those "recent" contacts i just want a solution to this. Never had this issue when i was on Eclair 2.1.

click the phone option in home screen and goto logs. delete the log and your recent sent would be cleared

This doesn't work. I think he means the log when you go to Messaging/new message/ Recent. I am unable to clear it also and cannot find any way to.

That does not work either. You can long press till your finger falls off. Again, go to Messaging/new message/ Recent tab and try to get rid of any thing on that list. Betcha can't. Samsung vibrant 2.2

I think none of the experts are going to answer this tough one. I believe it to be impossible except resetting the whole phone.
