Help Clearing 'Sending Failed' e-mail notice?

Whenever I re-boot my phone I receive a 'Sending Failed' notification in my status bar for two e-mails - this is thru my work e-mail using Outlook Exchange.

I don't see anything in my outbox and don't need to re-send them; would just like to stop getting the error message.

Thoughts?

I have this same problem. (I'm using the stock email app.) Both emails was resent, but still get the failed sent notice every time I power on my phone. I've learned to live with it, since its been over a year now. (But any advice is welcomed)
