Root Clock Removal/Battery Circle Mod

I was looking through ROM Manager -- and came back across the circle battery mod and the clock removal mod.... will those still work with the latest OTA update?

I used both of those on Apex 1.3 and worked great.

I'm not using any ROM, just Gingerbread theme over Stock. Think it might work?

Make a backup in recovery first... what's the worst that could happen? Boot loop?
