Root clockwork mod/custom recovery overwrite?

Ok, unless i am missing something, I have 1 simple question. I am rooted, deodexed, froyo'd (clockwork recovery mod/ROM). I want to install a different ROM. either tranquility 3.0 or some of the later/faster ones just to switch it up. After I back up my current ROM, Can I just install the new ROM without worry? or is there some special trick? I also have a custom theme too, but I don't care if that gets erased, etc.

Each ROM has a specific set of installation instructions that need to followed exactly as they are written, do not take any shortcuts and you should be all set.

Unless I am missing something, tranquility 3.0 does not have instructions...just a DL link. Let me search again, but so far....I am coming up empty

Install instructions:

This is a new style of install for me and the Droid community in general. The update.zip format will only remove those files necessary to install itself, if your phone is odexed, it will deodex it for you and install. It has a very small footprint because it is only installing what is necessary.

1) DO NOT WIPE YOU PHONE, DO NOT FORMAT THE SYSTEM.

2) in your app drawer have bootstrap recovery restart your phone in recovery.

3) Follow these steps exactly:
i. select install zip from sdcard
ii. select choose zip from sdcard
iii. navigate to Tranquility.zip and press the Camerahttp://www.mydroidworld.com/forums/# button
iv. reboot phone

yup...I missed it...DOH! Thanks again for helping me out! gonna let the battery charge a little longer before I try it...so far though, I've installed themes, boot screens, and at least one ROM...no problems so far. Does that mean I am learning? hahaha
