Greetings, I realized not much is discuss in this area (or I am wrong), and I believe this recovery has the version of 3 but ROM manager has up to 2.5.0.7 only.

Does this means versions after that are unstable / not recognize?

The reason why Im looking at CMW recovery 3 is I think it is capable of repartition SD card?
 
Old cwm used to partition but was removed. 2.5.0.7 still does but only via Rom manager (same dev)

2.5.0.7 was last release by the dev. All newer are compiled from his source but not official.

3.x no longer supports amend scripts so if you want to flash an old Rom, you can't. Only new Roms with edify update scripts.

Not a fan of partitioning via recovery plus should only need to use the feature once or twice.

If you really want to part via recovery, try amonRA
 
Id defo recommend AmonRa myself Ive used it to partition sd cards 4 times now and it works like a dream. Look out for version 2.0.1 you'll find that in SUroot's rooting signature
