Root ClockWorkMod v5.0.2.7 (file system/recovery utility) update 01/12/12 FIXED

Well done! Upgrated via CWM flawlessly! Installed CTMod with no issues and Simple Blue 4.2.
Performed a backup and restored the backup with no issues. Its working great, and I even like the color!
Thanks so much!

When I try to unzip the update with ESzip it says "bad zip file" I guess its something I did wrong by mistake. Can I just delete everything that was downloaded and do it again i suppose? IDK what happened as this seems pretty straight forward.

I think I just got it. Man I spend an hour on something so simple and cant get it, The second I break down to ask for help them BAM!!! I get it withen minutes. Im suprised i havent bricked this thing. Pretty amazing that with some help from amazing people creating this stuff for this phone that I can do any of this and have it still make a phone call without it bursting into flames lol. Ok I gotta see if it worked but it just said its complete before I typed this.

OK its all good now. I dont think it was ever unzipped as I was trying to copy from SDcard/downloads and paste it to SDcard. It was not happening and while in CWM I was opening sdcard/downloads to install the zip but it should have been on the page of sdcard. IDK how to explain but its done.

THANKS HROARK13 !!!!!!!

Oh yeah. I read it lmao

Read your instructions 2 or 3 times to make sure and went the .zip method since I was upgrading. Everything worked without a hitch. I like the way the file names fly by as they are being backed up. I assume and saw some verification on an earlier post that the backups made with 4 cannot be restored with 5. I deleted all of these and made a new backup.

Man, you are really incredible. You are helping a lot of people with this stuff. Thanks again.

Hi guys, I seem to be confusing myself ugh. I have Odin to EE14 with CWM HK 1.2 and 2. Flash Shabby 0.9 installed.
So my question is I only need to follow the Install CWM Update. Is that correct?

Thank you in advance.

After a half of a day, all seems well.. No major problems that needed addressing..the only thing that has been stomping me is my calendar widget, not showing my task..Not a biggie, but overall, its all good..Excellent work guys.

ClockWorkMod should have no effect on widgets

Just got a very pleasant surprise this morning. Got an update on Titanium Backup and it will now RESTORE from CWM 5 backups. This is pretty cool.

Getting ready for work, so I did not try to actually restore, but I did go into the option and it definitely SEES the backup set and it will present of list of apps and data that are contained within allowing you to check the ones you want or all.

I do not know if it will work with backups made with CWM 4, but my guess is probably not, since it specifically states that it works with backups made with CWM 5. I had deleted those CWM 4 backups so I could not test that.

I think that I read on another thread that the ACS Updater also has some integration with CWM, allowing named backups, but I have not tried that

Thanks again, hroark!

Yeah I used ACS updater atm, before I used to just go in the folder with ES File Explorer and change the name. It is really nice to be able to just add a title before it even makes the backup with ACS Updater.

One note if using ACS Updater to make your CWM backups, if you accidentally hit backup without adding anything into the title field it will still make all the files in your clockworkmod folder you just have to put them in a new folder within it before CWM and ACS will be able to restore it.

coming from pure stock to using latest method...i acidently let it reboot...but the recovery still got install...closed odin and made sure to install stick.zip and update...
was easy enough...
thanks for you help devs
