Help Closing Applications

I am coming from a Galaxy Nexus S, on it I was able to hit the applications key and it would allow me to see anything running. The DNA does the same, but I cannot swipe the application to close it.. Is this something with the sense UI overlay? Not a fan of being able to quickly close applications..

Just an update.. I figured it out.. If you swipe the application to the top of the phone, it will close it..
