Cloud Storage taking up space

Hi All
I have just discovered that all the pictures that i have automatically uploaded to dropbox are taking up space on the internal memory!

i would have thought that once they were uploaded they would be removed from the phones memory?

Obviously they are still on my sd card as thats where i asked for pictures taken with the camera to be stored, but didn't expect the uploaded ones to be duplicated on the sd card & the internal memory!!, i deleted them and from what i can see it didn't cause any problems, i can still see them in the gallery and they are still in my dropbox folder.

No because they still reside in your gallery. There is no feature as of yet to DELETE currently uploaded photos. So if they've been uploaded via the Dropbox auto upload...just delete them from your gallery once you've confirmed.

yes but as I've just found out if you do this then they also get deleted from Dropbox.

Really? I haven't had that issue.

If so then do this....buy the app DropSnap. It will do the same functionality BUT let you choose what folders are scanned on your phone/MicroSD card and upload them to a given folder (your choice) on Dropbox. You can most definitely delete them and have them remain in dropbox.

Fantastic app mate, just installed it and removed the standard dropbox intergration, saved me at least 120mb and i know over time the more pictures i would have taken the more memory it would have eaten, have tried the app and it works great & best of all it doesnt keep the upload files on the internal memory. :D

Thanks again
