Root Cluttered SD Card

OK so I've successfully rooted...it was surprisingly easy. But due to going through a few ROMS and having to reinstall apps and all, the SD card has become somewhat cluttered. The question I have is if I format the SD card to clean it up am I going to end up having to reinstallsome apps and such? I get that pics, etc and such will be gone, but that was dealt easily enough by taking an image of the SD card with Acronis TrueImage. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Well, depends if you have A2SD? If you don't, your apps wont be affected by formating the card.
If you're not sure if you have A2sd, then you probably dont.
