Root CM 10.2 Nightlies Discussion

No mobile connection on first boot. A reboot appears to have fixed it though. Focal crashes after opening though.

Downloaded it and installed it , no Gapps yet. had TDM 10.1 which it's very stable in my LG Spectrum (have 3) , no reboots ever , everything worked, battery life improved after going back and updating latest vzw v8 update. Now I just installed this 10.2 seems a little quicker , the browser seems faster using wi fi, I had this one flashed with Virgin Mobile (1x data , which is 2g , not bad). The connection to PC was automatically , identified as LGE portable device and it shows no usb icon on top , but transferred files with no problem . Very god job TDM , thanks . My other 2 Spectrums (1 is under repair , digitizer cracked) are in Pageplus $12 month .

Wi-Fi working, GPS working , got 5/20 indoors by windows quicker than on 10.1 , camera froze when went into settings ,phone rebooted . Can I use same Gapps as in 10.1 ? I installed APK Google Maps ok, Gmail APK will not let me sign in . Mobile network is working , made a phone call and speakers seem a little louder

Thanks for testing everyone. I don't use my spectrum much anymore so I would appreciate if you report on anything broken especially if you think it might be specific to the device and/or related to mobile service (I don't have any CDMA accounts active right now). Also let me know how the new stuff works out, like Bluetooth enhancements etc.

Camera is working after reboot, nothing wrong now . Seems like it fixed itself, went into settings, zoom, took a pic, went into video , all its ok.

Do you have any plans of trying to get Focal to work? If so, I can probably get you a logcat of the crash and other issues that I've seen while trying to get it to work.

I can't get data to work, took 3 reboots to even get a regular phone signal, WiFi and GPS work fine, will mess with it a little more... Even tried reflashing and MD5s are good.

Hmmmm... Others seem to have it working. Maybe a couple of you can get together and compare notes to see what's different?

I did see a signal on mine but I don't have service and I believe it's still programmed for Sprint so that doesn't really count.

I can surely look into it.

Alright. I'll try and have the logcat for you tomorrow. I don't think it's anything huge. I was actually able to take a picture with it. When I tried changing camera modes though, my phone hard rebooted.

I haven't tested actual mobile data yet. I will in a few minutes though.

EDIT: Tested and can confirm. No functioning mobile data. I can probably have a logcat for you tonight.

Yeah, I've tried everything I can think of, looks like it's not turning on, under About phone, Status, shows mobile network type as LTE but Mobile Network State always shows as disconnected.

Everything else is working though (don't use Bluetooth so haven't tested that), have had a few random reboots.

I've had issues with certain apps always closing, like Falcon and Play Music, happened on all our ROMs, but they're working fine on this!

I haven't tested Bluetooth either. I'm back in school and working so I won't be able to get a logcat until this evening. If you get one first, pastebin it and post the link here. I imagine that between TDM, neph, and the other devs, we can probably get this sorted out reasonably fast.

I've never used Falcon but I never really had an issue with Play Music. Good to hear that they are working for you though.

I have been running 10.2 since yesterday and no reboots, Focal worked ,took a pic went into setting and then went into video rec ,recorded for 40 sec then pressed stop button and Focal app froze and stopped ,had to close app. Made calls ,speakers are good, sent a text , got 1x data ( this Spectrum is flashed to Virgin Mobile so it's ok..); installed Flash APK and browser displaying full websites ) , installed quickboot APK app to reboot into Recovery, I didn't see option in menu when shutting off phone. Feels a little smoother than 10.1 , maybe a little faster , very stable so far. The Quadrant Standard app shows Spectrum in 3rd place behind HTC one , it seems that it lost point in the 2d and 3d sections ,also the 10.1 was a little overclocked to 1.645 MHz and this 10.2 shows 1.512 MHz , got the Gapps installed for 10.2 and they are running perfectly. I'm using this Spectrum on CDMA mode not the 4G sim

Anyone using the spec on VZW able to get 3g or 4g data working yet? I just flashed and will try to get a logcat of it.

I will need a radio log of cm10.1 and cm10.2 from a vzw user to compare. To do this, turn off WiFi and reboot. Run "adb logcat -b radio" until you get a data connection. Then repeat with 10.2 and wait until you're sure that you should have gotten a data connection. Send both to me.

Also note rmcc says there have been recent changes to the telephony code that may be causing this. Logs will help narrow down the cause.

Mlb app got a fix for Android 4.3 yesterday and now its running ok , the torch and the brightest flashlight app still forceclose . Its not Android 4.3 at fault but the apps need time to update to this 4.3 OS . the usb connection is working same as in 10.1 , went to settings and enabled mass storage and PC loaded drivers , icon for usb shows on status as in 10.1 . Not experiencing reboots

TDM: Big bug. Reboot -> Recovery from the power menu is not kicking back into recovery. I'm having to ADB to get into recovery. Tried three times and the same results. It just reboots the system.

Edit : Never mind. Opened up Dev options and it works now. What a silly glitch.

I cant get a logcat - it just sets at waiting for device. when I get a list of devices it shows offline. Would this be due to an old version of adb?
