Hey All,

CM7.1 came out a few days ago

CyanogenMod Mirror Network - Powered by TDRevolution

Was wondering if anyone could dumb down to me the differences between CM7.1 and my current CM7.0.3? Is it worth it to upgrade?

Anyone with CM7.1? Any bugs?


-- SIDE NOTE: My current radio is 2.15.00.07.28
I have heard rumors that upgrading the radio will give me better reception? I have also read that messing with the radio is the best way to BRICK my phone - if the benefit of upgrading is great, can someone point me in the best direction of an idiot-proof guide to safely upgrading the radio? Do you think I should upgrade?

Thanks, I saw that.

But they still have to wait for the source code to be released which may not occur until the phone comes out, so we'll probably have an RC1 within a month after the phone is released. So looks like we could see it around New Years.

(FYI - SDK was released last night, but SDK does NOT equal source code - I already made that error :) )
 
I loaded this ROM for the first time and can't find the market. Am i missing something here? Do i have to download the market?
 
Got it al figured out and working great, but my music that played fine on Froyo, doesn't play on CM7 stock player.

ANyone have the apk for the stock player from froyo?
 
Anyone? I had to download Poweramp to play my music that played fine on Froyo.

Does no one else have this issue?
 
Does anyone know if there is a way to upgrade/change the phone interface that CM7 uses? I am new to rooting/flashing ROMs/customization of my phone and I really like CM7 with a few exceptions:

-No email widget (I have tried downloading several from the market and cannot find any that will allow me to actually use them in CM- when I go to add a widget to the desktop downloaded widgets usually don't show up. Am I doing something wrong here?

-I am used to being able to dial the first few numbers/letters of the contact I want to call and having the phone do live searches of my contacts as I type. CM7 does not do this- is there a mod available or some other way to get this functionality back?

What do you mean by phone interface? I use exDialer

Try that... I think it will make all of your dreams come true..
