Root cm 7 what am i doing wrong?

I don't have advanced menu in recovery what am I doing wrong?

I downloaded rom manager
Backed up my rom
Flashed recovery about 10 times now
Reboot in recovery


but I have no advanced option to clear dalvick

I'm rooted with gingerbreak if that makes a diference
Clockwork recovery v.3.0.0.5
if there's any other information I can provide that would help let me know
 
dont worry i had that same problem and still do, you should be able to find the opition your looking for directly in the rom manager app, open all the options one at a time and you will see it. sorry i cant tell you the exacts, i just erased rom manager from my phone when i did a factory reset but it is in there somewhere.
 
Ok I think I found the issue I have flashed but when it reboots to recovery its still loading the stock android recovery system should I just keep flashing untill I get the clockwork recovery or is there a fix for this alrdy?

I've tried flash override 3X but still nothing I read in another post to just keep flashing untill u get clockwork recovery is there any risk of damage if I do this?

I've just flased my friends ascend and it work on the second time same model phone metro pcs m860 rooted the same way is there someting that could be missing or and older clockwork I could use?

there shouldn't be any risk with that just make sure your phone turns on completely. but before doing that you should try redownloading clockworkmod from ROM manger in case you got a bad download.
