just build with kernel and system dont use device vendor. seee if it builds then
its no where near close.
even after modding the update binary it reboots and its blank. its not building correctly
cm wasnt built right. the vendor files need to be pulled from the stock rom and placed in /vendor before building. i can try and merge them to an aleady build cm but i doubt it will work. rbheromax if you need help email me andynu123 gmail. ill give you the specific files needed or you can check sammy open source. Samsung Open Source Release Center sph-m850.
this is the m840 not the m850...Wouldn't that be a different phone?
not quite. same phones board wise so the drivers are just the same from the prevail 2/ ring. i was on my phone and it was a typo of 5 instead of 4. opensource just has kernel and useless modules. i can try to make a template extract-files.sh to try to use when building but its most likely to fail. worth a shot. after looking for a while and comparing you can pull or fork this branch

it has close resemblance with the files CM needs to build cm10/11 correctly.
please note this is not usable at the moment without modification. you will have to use this as a TEMPLATE
i got some insight from a friend and he is going to take a look at CWM to try and get it working correctly. he also said i could port TW libs and device specific files to CM so ill give that a try tomorrow. no hopes up yet though. ive been trying to port for 2 days and no luck so far.

lets do this: anyone who wants to help (noob for test builds or watever or pro for compiling fixes and debugging) join #zte8930 on freenode. im ALWAYS logged into that room and pretty much catch every message. there are also some other devs that can help us work on this. it'll get done ALOT faster.

meh just got out of jail. ill try and port us a kitkatish themed TW rom. itll give us something
still working on it i have to fix a few missin methods in the framework so itll work with our phones. add our ril and itll be ready to go. maybe a week eta
either way it doesnt matter...the same issue is present with both of them
...trust me i know me and rbheromax worked day and night for 3 weeks on it...
