it seems slow at some points great more....wait more then great but imma think imma wait so i can see what it all can do in the end i only had the phone for a week now and i had to restore it like 10 times by now lml

Backup as in photos music files, that you may still have on your SD card, I'm download again, to see what you mean by, nothing to restore

i was wondering, is there anyway to turn off some of the aimations, like the scrolling effect and the keyboard animations. they are nice, but i normally just turn all my animations off. oh and sorry if im picky but ive encountered a bug with the google playstore: everytime i reboot my phone it gives me and error when i try to install apps from the playstore. the only way ive figured out how to fix it is log out of my google account and log back in. i know its probably hard to do things but if i can be of any help just ask.

Wat things u mean to backup things u want? And theres nothing to restore its empty

brianmay he is just saying back up if you want too. when you install this it will wipe all your apps and settings. if you back up your current rom you can restore it latter if you don't like the custom rom or it boot loops. im not trying to be mean but he pretty much said everything in order you need to do. you cant get any simpler than that.

the keyboard appear and disapear animations and the scroll fade, i havent removed them but i was wondering if there was an option for it. in dev options i turned off all animations and it still presits.

Ive did everything and when i go into cwm and go to restore and backup. Then restore from external from sd card it says no file

extract the zip, open the folder. rename the first one in that folder clockworkmod. then open the folder you just renamed, rename the next one backup, open it. rename the last folder kitjelly, open that. make a new file called nandroid.md5 , exactly like that, you have to have that. back out of the filesystem. copy the clockworkmod folder to the root of your extsd. reboot into recovery. go to back up and restore, then go to restore from extsd. go to kitjelly. it will take a long time to install be patient. if that didnt help then you are on your own.

So, just to be clear, the file structure should look like this:

Kitjelly\
clockworkmod\
backup\
kitjelly\
boot.img
data.ext4.tar
data.ext4.tar.a
recovery.img
system.ext4.tar
system.ext4.tar.a
nandroid.md5

I was wondering b/c I had originally had:

clockworkmod\
backup\
nandroid/md5
kitjelly
boot.img
data.ext4.tar
data.ext4.tar.a
recovery.img
system.ext4.tar
system.ext4.tar.a

Another weird thing I just noticed is that I transferred all these files over to my phone last night via usb cable and now they're missing. I've been noticing this the last few days. Files will disappear from my device. Won't even show up when I browse through the extSD on my computer...

Anyway, thanks AwesomeSteve45!

you need the .md5 file. you just make it, like i just said. .md5 files are codes that tell if the files are corrupt or not. since this ones blank, it automatically assumes its not corrupt.

Right. I understand that no problem. I've created one w/ ES File Explorer. My question is, is it in the right directory? And is the file structure correct?

Is the nandroid.md5 supposed to be created in the kitjelly folder or the backup folder?

The instructions seem to suggest nandroid.md5 is to be created in the folder inside the backup folder (which would be kitjelly).

I just wanted to make sure everything was correct before flashing my first ROM.

Thanks for the help.
