Root cm10.2

didnt think so, but worth a shot... im thinking it may be some binary that needs to be stock or built that is the opposite, or maybe something about the way the .ko file is set up, i really dont know for sure. technically if wifi works for the avid it should work for you guys with the hacked up version of their cm mouse has. i dont see why the hell it would be so different. my only thought on the matter is try to find something missing, mabe something that needs to be replaced. as far as i know the ramdisk is set fine, its gotta be a missing or incorrect library or binary

The you guy try the build with the regular WiFi folder the come with cm10 repo for the avid totlth add a WiFi folder and that made WiFi work but when I try my build I add that file and your WiFi wasn't working so I think the last option can be try the regular folder the come with cm10 repo try that it may work lol

If you delete the file and add the one totlth give you just delete that file and do a repo sync to download again
 
well, repo sync isnt gonna happen on on my end that takes far too long, but we have used all the same wifi stuff you guys are using. i dont see why it wouldnt work. hell mouse has used your build with minor modifications and it doesnt work...

but out of curiosity what wifi folder are you talking about?
 
right, newest build is up with that. and thanks btw i forgot about that... hence why i dont like messing with the cm source lol
and draven there may never be a cm10.2, sd card issues may be unresolvable. sorry to be the bearer of bad news. mouse is still working on it but i dont see how it will ever work out unless ive been completely missing something all this time
 
Aww, man. That sucks. So ZTE Force may be stuck at 10 huh? :(

Edit: what about the possibility of getting wifi and bluetooth working on 10?
 
its possible, i am working on it, it may work now for all i know i cant test it but i have a possible fix uploaded to the link. of course, spontaneous combustion and winning the lottery are possible as well... so i cant really tell you anything, you can tell ME more about whether the wifi is close to being fixed than i could ever tell you without a device to test on

Okay, I'll throw it into CWM and see what happens.

Edit: Just got done Backing up through CWM, throwing the new one on the SD card, then I'm gonna reset and throw on the new one and test the wifi and bluetooth for ya.

Edit: Wifi and Bluetooth are still shot atm. :\
 
yea i didnt touch bluetooth, but wifi is still broken thank you gentlemen. it was worth a try but sadly didnt do anything to my knowledge, will try to get a logcat out of mouse find out if it even changed anything or if its still the same old crap
 
If I can help test some theories I'm in. Lack of wifi is the only thing keeping cm10 from being my daily driver. Crap signal at home :(
 
that does happen. i mean if you wanna take a stab at it robertech that would be great, i know you know the general procedures. id start by trying to toss in stock stuff that may be related to wifi. past that you might try things pulled form other devices with working wifi. hell pgs release for the lg motion doesnt even have most of the "necessary" files. how does wpa work without the wpa supplicant? i have no idea but it does...
 
im pretty sure the problem isnt in the ramdisk, though i could be wrong. the most likely suspects are the libs related to wifi, though i can speak to exactly what those are
 
Got a logcat from the latest build yet? Oh btw I'm about to set up a build environment on a shiny new Dell all-in-one so maybe I can be of a little more use.
 
yea it keeps giving crap about not having the proper directories or some shit like that. like the wifi hardware isnt even being accessed by android... how come camera works on this thing but wifi is so hard? theres always gotta be a catch i guess
