Root CM10 Questions, annoying!

Two small problems. I'm running Nova Launcher.

1) TeslaUnread is not working, period.

2) The hardware button backlights go off after about 5 seconds. Super annoying.

Any way to fix this stuff?

I noticed the lil backlighta go off and come back on after u touch it but idk a fix for that. And for nova launcher thing....what is teslaunread

I think with Kernel tuner you can change the light settings for your back button. Not sure if it works with all kernels.

kernel tuner allows me to set how bright the backlight for the buttons are, but not whether or not they stay on. Any other suggestions?

Not sure about this here, but I THINK its an issue with AOKP/AOSP/etc ROMs...

I remember having the same issue with the backlight buttons on SlimBean. As far as Nova...Well...I can't say much about that. (I use ADW. Have since the cupcake days of android.)

I just started running CM10 and the capacitive buttons backlights won't stay on. They go off after about 5 seconds of not doing anything. Anything I can do to fix this? It's really annoying.

Mmm, cupcake. Lol you've been at this as long as I have. :D You should check out Next 3D, I always used ADW and switched over a couple of months ago.

i wish i knew a fix. idk why its like that they cut off and cut back on once u touch the screen. if u got kernel tuner try changing the brightness of the backlight on the soft keys...idk if that will work or not

The lights going out is a built in feature.

If you dislike CM10 so much, why not just install something else?

I love it. I fixed everything else. Just the backlights. TeslaUnread working, all GAPPS where the should be, settings restored, etc. If it really is as simple as what this man just said though, I won't worry about it. I actually bricked my phone attempting to flash a MOD that supposedly put the buttons back to their stock settings. Got it back up though. When I flashed the MOD I was plugged into USB and I believe as hard drive, not just charge. Could that have been the problem? Spent the last hour getting it back to how it was before flash, and don't want to try it again unless I know why it happened. Any suggestions? Like I said, if it can't be fixed I'll leave it alone and move on.
