I'm just trying to gauge people's success with CM10-based ROMS around here.

Obvious prerequisites are S-OFF with a downgraded HBOOT (1.50.5050 or the engineering HBOOT)

I haven't had good luck with them, so I steer clear nowadays... wondering if I'm alone in that respect & wonder what the consensus is.

I still flash and test them, but there tends to always be some sort of issue in every single last one that turns me away

I'm waiting on the latest versions to mature a bit. I think Angry Bean finally worked out all GPS issues a couple of days ago. IIRC, you still have to press 1 to check Voicemail.

I like that ROM very much, but I wasn't going to make it my daily driver until it addressed some of those issues. Also, in the early days before it became carrier specific, you had to take extra steps to make it work on Virgin Mobile. Now that Angry Bean has split off from Wild for the Night...we're getting carrier specific attention, and that's a GOOD THING :D

It looks like Madman will have that ROM tweaked and tuned righteous soon, and I'll look to give it another go around.

My goal someday is to basically run two ROMS. One ICS and one JB. I'd like to keep two NANDs updated at all times so the swap between them is only like 5 minutes (I don't want to mess with dual boot). Perhaps someday, JellyBean will be my daily driver, and ICS will be for those special times when I just gotta have my Sense, or 3D.

I've used PAC as my daily for a long time. I can deal with 3d/video issues. Everything else works fine for me.

It might be better to broaden your poll to include all AOSP based ROM's not just CM10. I use mazda's AOKP based ROM's and Evervolv and neither of those is based on the CM10 source.

Here's a post that goes into a little more detail on that.

I bounce around a lot depending on what new features may be on a specific ROM that I want to try. I do find CM10 roms to be buggier than AOKP and even Pac so I usually lean towards those. Once in a while I get an itch to flash a Sense based ROM or Senseless-ICS rom but usually doesn't last long and end up going back to the newer 4.2 ROMS out there. But then again, I've turned into a flashaholic :)

I don't like it because CM10 roms aren't too good with gaming, which is really important for me.

I second this. Though scrolling is the best in any CM10 - 10.1 rom it seems like the roms aren't utilizing the GPU properly. Something is wrong because my phone gets hot while trying to play a game at normal frequencies as opposed to ICS which runs the game smoothly and as intended with no lag.

Personally, for me to permanently switch to JB roms this particular issue would have to be solved. Nevertheless the roms are great and I love using them from time to time as I could ICS roms, and thank the devs for their hard work because without them the Android world would be a boring place :)

This isn't really CM 10 specific because it happened with AlienDroid and PACman so it's most likely a problem with Jellybean but whenever I'm on a JB ROM I can't connect to WIFI??

I had to many problems with 10 such as GPS.. slowness, glitches.. cant start music on the 1st load without having to close a FC first then re-open

10.1 i have no problems like that. The camera is kind of wonky and camcorder works when it wants to, but i barely use those.

so 10.1 is the best so far!
