Root CM10

Now that we have JB, how hard would it be to port CM10 to this device? Would this guide work? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1598713

I am going to try this.

UPDATE: From what I know, this can't be done right now. For me to port it, the phone that has cm10 available has to have the same processor as ours. None of those phones have cm10 out right now. I could port cm9 or cm7 but that would almost be useless. But, if you all want I could port those.

in order to get cm10.1 or any aosp based rom, some1 would need to build a working device tree... unfortunately that takes a crap load of hours... jimmy and interloper do have something on github but have been having some issues...

edit: here's the link

I'm talking about CM10 since we do have 4.1.2. How could we port that to our phone?

I'm not sure. But first, I do know we will need to find a device that has the same CPU as our's and has cm10 available for it. Then I can start the porting process. Also, I am looking through some of the stuff Jimmy422 and IntelopeR did.

UPDATE: I am working on it now! I found a device with the same CPU as ours! (HTC Droid Incredible 2) It got an unofficial update to cm10. I'll post more as I go through the process.

Well, this isn't going as planned. I will go into further detail probably later today, but it flashes fine, after I reboot, I get the first Samsung screen (before the VM animation) and then just a blank screen. I'm thinking it may be a kernel issue. I will do a logcat in a little bit. Right now I'm busy updating Atrium to version 1.1.
