Root CM11 CAF Build Alpha2

I think phone and data are working for the l90 and g2m dont see it listed as a bug overthere.
I didnt read through all the pages, but i think they(l90/g2m) were also having spotty problems at first, but most should be worked out.
Gps would never connect for me while indoors though.

P.S. Have you checked out lollipop? still lots of bugs but it boots now. Its like a pre--alpha now.

I did check out lollipop, and i gotta say holy crap its awesome! It runs really well already, and i imagine future releases will only make it better. Congrats on getting it compiled and running! Now theres no reason in the world lg could give us for not giving us a lollipop stock rom, because if we can get it running they certainly can.

i saw that, basically what hes doing is setting build.prop values and eri.xml to boost. i want to say i saw in the past where we could combine virgin and boost eri.xml values to make a unified rom, and that someone on here told me a while ago that the boost apns-conf.xml and virgin apns-conf.xml are the same. just digging out that link to the eri.xml thing is being an issue though lol.

Edit: i think im going to change the eri.xml to just say "Chameleon" as the operator, unless any of you have any better naming suggestions. As it currently sits there is nothing that i'm aware of that is virgin or boost specific in the cm11 rom, but that could change. gonna try not to make it that way, but for now "Chameleon" seems like the best option.

So to repeat, if anyone runs future cm11 builds from me, if your operator says "Chameleon" in the pulldown menu, thats because I set it that way.

someone with data please flash that and lemme know what happens with 3g and lte.

Running this since you posted and 4g comes on every time. It doesn't seem to be as quick as is was on stock but I don't know. Calling works fine and no issues with sound.
I do see a small graphical error every few hours where the bottom of my screen has a black background, see pic.
All in all its pretty much ready to be a daily driver.

Forgot to add pic

I was dicking around and went ahead and flashed this while troubleshooting some other things with my phone-- i went back to stock, but it installed and started fine via cwm. Some settings menu options cause a force close or reboot, but when I tried to switch from dalvik to art it threw a bootloop.
It was beautiful to check out for a few minutes though,

I'm still having a problem getting SMS and MMS working with the stock cyanogenmod MMS app. I think its somewhere in the overlays for the app, but I've tried just about everything and still am getting nothing.

Also, the trees i posted above, after your done compiling you need to throw apns-conf.XML from stock in /system/etc. The cm build system overwrites it in the current configuration, gonna try moving it to /vendor instead to combat it.

That's pretty much what's going on, on my end anyway. I still need to look into video recording and GPS.

Gonna try to upload a new build here soon, just when time permits me to.

I have it now to where I have LTE, SMS and MMS on virgin, and boost should likely be fixed too. Decided im gonna just upload a single build and let you guys flash the virgin and boost APN zips, seems to be the easiest until I get init scripts set up in device.

I can't for the life of me get the native MMS apk from cyanogenmod working even though I'm 99% positive I'm doing the right thing, so I'm just gonna stop building it from source and add mms.apk from omni as a prebuilt binary. Omni MMS/SMS works on cyanogenmod, I just tested it last night.

Also, NFC seems to be working with the new builds just like with omni, just has a few problems. On first boot after flashing, NFC will not toggle, but after subsequent reboots it should be fine. Looking into what's causing it.

Seems focal or camu can be used for now for full camera and video camera usage, so that's what I'd recommend until I get a wrapper set up in source to fix video recording. GPS is still borked, still working on it. Also looking into building a wrapper to enable the home button led.

Figure I'd let you guys in on what I'm working on behind the scenes, and I'll hopefully have something for you all to test very soon.

We are on the cusp of a fully working cm11 and cm12, which is exciting considering 4 months ago we had next to nothing. It will happen, we just need some more devs. I know I'm worn out from building and testing every day, and I can't speak for bad_mofo_33 but I'm sure he is too.

Testers are important, but the more people we get building from source, the faster these projects move along. So if you have a machine decent enough to build, please do. Ask questions about building, I will try to answer or at least point you in the right direction.
