It isn't really about which model phone they're made on. The problem would be that people are using zips made for an older version of the ROM or the other problem could be that the person who made the zips put the wrong boot.IMG inside. In any case, people shouldn't be making changes to the ROM and then reporting bugs.

I'm back to my modded stock recovery..
At the moment it's enough...
When my head starts getting to me...
I like it when my phone is stable...
I was to the SD issue and decided i had enough till further development ...
I'll watch till I get the itch to fiddle with it again..... no big... Lol..
Hroark's still kicking ash with it

Anyone have trouble with viper4android on CM12.1? I get it working but after a while the effect stops and when I click on driver status from within the app it says the driver is unsupported all of a sudden. Was wondering if anyone else has had these problems too.

Has anybody noticed that Lollipop has annoying SD card restrictions similar to KitKat? I was trying to edit the tags on my music on the SD card and it kept failing. Anyway I made a fix for it. If anyone else wants this I'll put it in a flashable zip. Like the KitKat SD fix apps it will allow you to write to your SD card with the same relative ease as with jellybean and below.

Is there a link for that flashable zip yet? And will it enable me to move apps to sd? I have the option in app settings, but it doesn't work. After a reboot, I have to reinstall whatever apps I tried to move.

There is a zip for this in the CM12.1 sensors thread which also fixes video recording. It won't allow you to move apps to the SD card though because that is a bug in the ROM. A very small bug that I don't care at all about. There isn't really a need to move apps to the SD card with a phone that has 11.5GB of internal storage.

Thanks for the save. I like a couple of large racing games. That's why I was looking in to it.

Nooo ( I new about that ) and xposed isn't compatible with odex ROMs ( source some users on this forum) and I think because of the way hroark compiled the rom

When installing CM 12.1, am I supposed to just do an advanced wipe (system, data, dalvik, and cache) or should I also hit the "format data" button under the wipe menu? Also, should I mess with wiping the internal storage? (I keep my rom and gapps on the sd card)

Yes select advanced wipe and wipe system, data, and cache. You should also delete the android folder on your internal storage.
You can wipe dalvik if you want but it already gets wiped when you wipe data so this is redundant and won't help or hurt anything. You shouldn't need to format data or wipe internal storage.
Fyi: If you format data that will wipe the internal storage as that is part of the data partition.

Thank you! I was just confused about the format data option. Thanks for clearing everything up!

Idk if anyone else has had this issue but my phone will randomly shutoff while tethering and sometimes while texting just did it 3 times within 15 minutes so now I'm aggravated .I'm running rc5 with banker v3 kernel had this issue on stock kernel as well so I've ruled that out. Any help is much appreciated thank you in advance.

Has anyone had any luck moving apps to SD card I got my partitions set to ext4 but for some reason still cannot move apps to SD card.

I know I have seen several on other threads and websites taking about the signal fluctuation and poor signal using Cm roms. Has there ever been any explanation or remedy to this? I live close to a many towers and usually have 3 bars, but it fluctuates up and down, and sometimes goes to no service briefly then back up to 3 bars.

Honestly after going back to stock I've noticed that the signal on the stock ROM really isn't any better. I'm not talking about the signal indicators in the status bar but actual real life data speeds. In the places where I would lose my data signal on the lollipop ROMs, when I'm on stock the data icon will say 4g but I still won't have any data. I honestly feel that as far as real world usability goes, the signal on the cm ROMs is about 95% as good as stock. The only time there is a noticeable difference is when I'm on a phone call and on stock I'll have 4g but on cm roms I'll have 3g during phone calls instead.

u are right

Oh yeah got to the build number and tap that 7 times then you well see the option to give apps or ADB su root.... But we still do not have write to system...

Tapped it 7 times and it says I am a developer, but no where do I see it ask to give apps or ADB su root. Am I missing something here?

I have looked all through developer options, and I still can't find it. Sidenote... I am not rooted yet. I am still trying to understand how to get root to work.
