CM6 gallery replacement

anyone know if a good gallery program to replace the 3d gallery in cm6? not being able to rotate pics is really getting annoying
 
push gallery 2d?? when i had gallery3d, whenever i open up the camera app the whole phone froze. i removed gallery3d and push gallery 2d and everything works fine now
 
*edit - i thought it was working right, its still going crazy when switched from portrait to landscape. now that i flashed the above file, how do i go about getting the 2d gallery?
 
i got the 2d gallery working. i originally used the link that required me to go into the terminal but found the .zip from the page above that deletes 3d and installs 2d. it finally works! thanks again!
 
can someone explain the difference in the two? i never understood what the 3d gallery was all about

If you have the 3D gallery, tilt your phone and the angle of the gallery shifts or moves with you. Tilt up, down, or sideways for the effect. The 2D gallery is your basic flat gallery but loads faster since there are no effects.

With the 10/02 nightly the 3D gallery loads really quickly now. The previous nightly I ran (9/24) had the 3D gallery that took forever to load. Seriously. I had time to shoe the horse, slop the hogs, feed the chickens, and milk the cows and that gallery was still loading!!! :mad: Not anymore. :)
 
loading speed was never really a problem for me, more that if i tilted the phone from portrait to landscape, the picture would distort into 4 or 8 large "pixels". 2D gallery works great

Same was happening to me until I flashed the 9/29 rom. Gallery is working perfectly now. I still hate the layout though...

1) I believe the reason the 3D gallery lags so much at times, is that it creates thumbnails and indexes the photos. So if you basically let everything load, the next time you go in, its pretty fast. That 'may' be why it seemed to load very fast with your latest nightly build. (I think this because I had to reload all my photos the other night and it was extremely slow. Now its pretty fast. I had about 300+ photos)
2) With the latest 75 nightly build, the issue with the rotating from portrait to landscape is fixed.
 
I need to do something. Ill look into the 2d Gallery.

Question I have is there a way to switch off auto loading of the pisca content ?
