Root Cm6 ???

You can probably use some sense themes, just be prepared to find some bugs.... as for the voicemail, like exbbuser said look for the fix. but i personally use google voice, it works just fine, pretty much the same functionality of vvm, plus more features

Everything is live and running. I am liking it...Really digging the 2300 Quad scores...I was 1200 or so before. One thing I miss is the Sense dialer where I could start typing a name and it found the person. I never went into "People"...Now I have to go into "Contacts" to make calls on here...don't like that. I replaced the 3D gallery...waaaaay too slow. Now I need to fix VVM and tweak my Launcher Pro and Widget locker...then I think i'll be 100%.
Thanks for all the help. Also, I did not have to partition my SD.

Edit: VVM is now working. I had to blacklist #9016, so I don't get a text each time I receive a VM though...all is good.

Edit: I didn't realize you don't need WiFi tether to tether on CM6.

Did you do that by going to the Sprint web site and entering that number in a blocked text list?

The option when the phone starts pulling up names when dialing numbers being gone, is the only thing pissing me off as well. Does anyone know if there's option to change this??

No, I downloaded "Super private conversation". I blacklisted it there. What that app will do is pull the message from your regular messaging app once it's received. What I did first was blacklist it in Handcent, but Wimax notifier still saw the message and the LED kept blinking. SPC pulls the message, so that disables the LED...works great!!!!
 
I'll try that on my backed-up CM6 ROM.

Right now, I'm on Baked Snack 1.8 and I use Speech Alert (TTS) which announces text messages. Super Private Conversation doesn't seem to block the (#)9016 announcements or the little balloon at the bottom of the screen for some reason. Oh well, I'll try it on CM6 which has the bigger problem.
 
Yeah, that's odd...Did you go in and turn off the notifications in SPC? I don't even know the 9016 text is coming in anymore.

I figured this out now as well.....Go in Market and download "Dialer one". This dialer does the Sense action that was frustrating us...Now I think I have ironed out all my issues with CM6. Now that 4G is spotty in my area...once that is fixed, i'll be golden.!!!

This is the reason I left CM6, so you are telling me there is a sense like dialer out there?
