Hi guys, I recently tried installing CM7 with GAPPS.
Cm7 installed beautifully but when I tried installing G-Apps in the recovery, I go back to the rom itself.. and The market/Playstore isn't there!
I tried installing G-Apps from many different places and it still wont show up inside the App-Drawer.
Any Suggestions?
Thanks everyone

Download and install play separately. Theres an apk in the general section posted earlier

Use root explorer if you own it and look in /system/app and look for Vending.apk let me know if its there.

If you dont own root explorer, own it.

try this one

3.3.12

or this one

3.4.4

Had an issue jumping straight to Play version so installed 3.3.12 version (i think) and let Play upgrade get pushed to phone automatically.

Needs Root Explorer or similar to copy/paste into system/app and set correct permissions - instructions in first link. Worth renaming existing vending.apk if its in there so you can revert back if need be.

When I go into the play store. it asks me to add an account. But when I click yes. It just exits.
I tried installing gmail.
When I open it, it just closes.
(NOT FORCE CLOSE!!)
Um
I tried installing Ubuntu on on CM7 and gingervillan, I typed sh Ubuntu.sh and
it just gives me that long error that it cant find loop.
no loop found.
and yeah.
I don't know what to do from here with the Ubuntu files.
I have all of them.

presume you signed in to your google account at first reboot after flashing CM etc? Almost like play/gmail can't find your account.

No idea about ubuntu installs - SUroot's probably best placed on that, he'll no doubt be along

When i install the rom and then open it, there is no sign in screen. Just boots straight into it all ready to use!
