We'll turn you into a pro right now. ;)

First things first we'll ditch rom manager ;)

Second we'll get you on the 3.0.2.8 recovery. Difference between the 3.0.0.5 recovery and 3.0.2.8 is 2.8 will allow you to back up your sdcards ext if you ever decide to partition your sd card. So download this to your computer FastbootCWR-3.0.2.8.zip right click and extract it. Then put your phone into whats called fastboot mode by holding the End Call + Volume Down and taping the power. It will stay on the white Huawei screen. Then hook it to your computer and open the file you extracted and double click adb relevant to your comps operating system (for adb, fastboot and install theres 3 different ones labeled for windows, linux and mac) then fastboot, then install recovery. Then unplug your phone and pull the battery out for about 10 seconds. Then put it back in and reboot.

Now download the cm7 0913 and these gapps-gb-20110828-signed 7.2.zip and put both on the root of your sd card. Root meaning not in a folder.

Then shut your phone off and while holding the Send key and volume up key tap the power and hold the send and volume up key till you enter clockwork recovery. Then go to back up and restore and back up your current rom. Then go to wipe data/factory reset and confirm the wipe, then to wipe cache partition and confirm it, then to advance>dalvik and confirm it. then hit your back key go to mounts and storage and format boot, system, data, and cache. Do NOT format your sd card or it will erase everything on it. Then hit your back key and go to install zip from sd card then to choose zip from sd card and select the CM7 zip file and confirm the flashing of cm7. Once that is done flash the 0828 gapps you downloaded the same way you flashed the cm7 file. Then hit your back key a couple time then go back to advanced and select fix permissions. Once that is done hit your back key and go to reboot system now and then sign in to your gmail account and all that then........ Enjoy CM7 2.3.5 :)

thank you very much for your help but...
everything looks as if its going good up until the part when i enter clockwork recovery mode. i have 4 options
reboot system now
apply sdcard:update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
and that is all, i dnt have the advanced option nor the back up and rer=store option. your instructions seem pretty clear so im assuming im the one making the mistake. what am i doin wrong? i have files downloaded to my comp (mac) still should i do everything all over again? i used root explorer to mkae sure the zip files were on my sd card and they were.....

also, when you say to put my battery in after having ut for 10 seconds and REBOOT does that mean just turning it back on? cuz thats what i did :(

Yeah just put it back in and turn it back on. Download and run that file I gave you. Something is up with RM I think. you are like the 5th person in 3 different separate forums that are running inro a problem in cwr where something is missing. I dont know whats up with it. Fastboot that recovery on and you should be set. And dont worry about the Accesibility thing in the settings.

i think i know where im having trouble. when i double click the adb it says Process Completed, the fastboot says Process completed, but when i double click install-recovery-mac.sh a box pops up that that says ./fasboot-mac flash recovery recovery-RA-ascend-v1.6.2.img. is that what it should say??

I think so. I dont have a Mac so I dont know if it says something different or not. Unplug pull the battery and put it back in and hold the send key and volume up and tap the power and it should take you into clockwork recovery. If it didnt work, we have one more trick we can try.

k, it didnt work, again...i literally just finished doing it all over again with no luck. i downloaded the links but for some reason i still dont have the advanced option in the recovery mode. even when i go to the update from zip option it says it cant find them even though they are indeed in my sdcard. so whats the trick?? im gonna be leaving for a few hours but will definitly get back at it when i get home, any and all help is appreciated.

You'll never use the update.zip file selection. to install CM7 you'd go to install zip from sd card.

Download this 3.0.2.8 recovery.img and put it on the root of your sd card then go to the market and download a Terminal Emulator and type this in the terminal emulator:

su (hit enter)
flash_image (space) recovery (space) /sdcard/ x.x.x.x recovery.img (Hit enter) (**x.x.x.x, type in the recovery img's name that its named dont type it in as x.x.x.x)
exit (enter)

if a bunch of stuff didnt show up on the terminal, it didnt work. We may have to add a file to your system>bin folder but try that first

i have no idea, how would i know if i have the other CWM not the stock? unfortnately im hepling my brother move so i wont be abl to try till tomorrow, i will post update as soon as i try everything all over, as a mater of fact i will be trying at work if i can find a usb, thanks for the help guys...:D:D:D:D

OMGOSH!!!!!! FINALY!!, i feel like an idiot but this whole time my computer didnt have the driver so it was never recognizing my phone. as soon as i found one of your threads that had the links posted i downloaded and ran, after a few install and uninstalls i was good to go. the comp had the driver then i followed your steps where you said you were gonna make a pro and BOOM!!! it was good, thanks for all of your extra input but your very first reply was the answer, thank you thank you, i can sleep now, and yes i feel like i can do it like the pros now LOL:):):):):):D:D:D:D:D:D:D:p:p:p:p:o:o:o:o:):):):):)

Some have said it's not necessary, some have said MMS didn't work without it. I personally am on Cricket, so I've never had to use it... I'd try to send an MMS and have someone try to send you one also. If it doesn't work, flash MetrOFF... If it does work, don't worry about it.
