Root CM7 High Cell Standby

Get a different phone. There are no nightlies here yet. Who told you that? What makes you think cell standby drains faster than sense?
 
Ya this is universal. I'm getting high cell standby and phone idle using gingeritis 3d by chingy. Think it's mainly the radio...

I'm assuming there's nothing we can do to fix it...

I hope there will be an update soon to address this...
 
Not all functions drain the same...the screen dominates everything anyway from my experience. If you are getting a lot of percentage from cell standby, that does not mean that your battery is draining fast. Look at the drain graph and look at the scatter chart below it to see what actually causes a steep drop.

dont worry,as has been stated,this number does not have much significance. i have the same high cell standby times and i get 8 hours of extremely heavy use(2-3 hours of bluetooth voice calls,constant forum and email checking,constant waking the phone to check the time) and can easily get 20 hours of more "normal" useage. ive got the best battery life ive had to date on cm7.

if youre getting crappy battery life,you have some ohter background service or process thats draining it. may want to check how you have all your syncs and such set up.
