Help CM7 Mod

So, I just got a triumph. Im seriously considering installing the CM7 mod or maybe CM9...now that you can use the camera. I dont care about HDMI. I have rooted phones before, but I have never put a mod on one. I'm wondering if putting this CM7 will brick my phone or if there are any risks. Help?

CM9's cam isn't working yet for the triumph. There's always a risk rooting, though you'd have to really go off track to brick this phone

So there isn't a big risk of ruining the phone with CM7? I'd love to do it if the risk is small. I'd really like to have a different rom.

I thought it was pretty easy.

I read everything twice before I actually did it. As long as you follow step by step and take your time doing it, you should be able to do it easy.

I'm pretty much an Android newbie and I managed to install CM7 without damaging my phone. Just follow the excellent step-by-step directions here.

Just my opinion, but AOKP is my favorite ICS ROM right now. If you don't really need camera or gps (for the short time being), this is definitely my fav.

As far as CM7, my current is CM7 g60 style The Slaughter House.

i would highly suggest looking on youtube at minus5252 page, has video tut on basically everything youll need, that plus the directions posted above were all i needed to get a feel for difficulty, learned how to correctly do it, and then flashed a custom rom

Do it. Makes a decent phone, great. The risk is very minimal and extremely easy. Nothing like the Samsung Intercept days...
