Root Cm7 not syncing!!

Hey all,

I flashed CM7 yesterday and I noticed that although my AUTO SYNC is ON and my phone has been connected to both my wifi and 3G all day... my emails have not been coming through..

I had a friend email me at 10:22PM, it is now 11:03PM and my phone has still not notified me that I have a new email (which I know is there bc I see it on my computer).

In addition, I have noticed that when I am home and I wake my phone, it appears as though the phone is using 3G and only after a few minutes does it reconnect with my wifi (this happens even though the phone was awake 5 min ago and I was using my wifi on it).

I even tried pressing the AUTO SYNC on my notification bar (ON > OFF > ON) and still nothing...

If I go into my Gmail and press REFRESH the emails all come through..

FOUND MY ANSWER!!

Obviously before I posted I had gone into settings > Accounts and Sync and made sure that Background data and Auto-sync were both checked..

Under my Gmail it stated that "Sync is ON"

....

well I didn't realize that I could click on that and it would give me another menu... that menu showed that I could choose to sync various things with my gmail account: books, contacts, gmail, calendar

well all of the above were checked off EXCEPT FOR GMAIL

not sure why that was, this should probably be checked by default... well now that box is checked and I get my emails instantly again.


Normally, this is where I say thanks to that person who helped me out, but this time it was me.

Hope this helps others out there with similar issues.
