Root cm7 notification bar theme color set?

hi guys.

is it possible to force the icons in the top bar to stay in theme color
rather than changing to white when status changes?
just looks a bit naff imo :-\

What themes? Applied how? Surely you have learned by now we need detail to answer your questions? ;)
 
well unless it is too obvious ;-)
I mean cm7 themes. there are 3 in the rom install.

I think it can be done in general because I had a flashed theme on
redux2 that seemed to do it
 
can you upload me one of the .apk's from the system/app directory for such a theme please?

And, no its not too obvious. You could mean anything.

just tried filoe upload but think it is too big for phone to load as is 3mb.
I can see the 3 theme name apk files in that dir though

I'll have a look tomorrow. It may be a simple image swap. If not ultimate online theme kitchen can add on and off custom icons
 
Which Status bar icons in particular are you refering to please? I need a specific example of one...

And you dont mean notificartion power widgets do you?

no Im meaning the icons for signal etc in default notification area
of screen. not the drag down area.

ideally would be great to have that whole line just in theme color I reckon.
but the one that changes a lot for me is the radio signal bar graph icon

its probably an android os thang I guess. when status of
icon changes maybe ?
 
just took another screen shot of a 4 bar signal that is still in theme color.
not uploaded that yet. so icons changing color isn't purely down to
state change

Do you mean the fact they are grey when not connected to Googleservices like they should be? You want to change that yeah?

that would be cool. but I'm more after stopping it going white from time to time.
I'm not sure what it is trying to indicate if anything, as signal strength at the time seems
the same.

Thats on all Gingerbread AOSP roms. It just means you are connected to the networks but NOT connected to Google services. It is completely a state thing

IMHO its useful to know this so wouldnt recommend changing these icons if I were you

Depends if you want to know if your gmail should be pushing or why you cant get the market to work or not.

They can be changed. Any theme I used from UOT (Flashable that is) changed them. Try running the apk through UOT to see what happens.
 
what is UOT? :-\

I just had white icons and tried market and it worked ok. so not very accurate I guess :-)
